Weekly Meeting Notes (9/17/12)

Hey, guys. It's your favorite admin here with meeting notes again. Sorry for the really bad delay this time. To get credit for this meeting, you'll need to spot the spelling error. But here we go:

• Minecraft Servers: We have made yet another plan for the Minecraft servers. The vanilla server is staying vanilla, but by vote Monday, we decided that the public would like it more if we replaced the Bukkit server with Tekkit by what was almost a unanimous vote. If you have any complaints or ideas about this, please contact ME. DO NOT CONTACT CHAOTIX about Tekkit for now. 
• Recruiting Drive: After the gut-check last week, we have decided to host a recruitment drive. There are many incentives for the players to reap just by trying in the drive. For example, we have some great friends that are working on the game City of Steam (browser-based MMO-RPG) that were willing to give us some beta keys! These keys will only be given to those who put forth effort (and prove it) in the recruitment drive. Also, there is a promotion on the line (for most). If you win the recruitment drive: as a Normal member you will be promoted to Moderator; as a Moderator, an Admin; as an Admin, you'll pick the next Moderator. PLEASE NOTE: People previously kicked from GE do NOT count.
• Game of the Week: Okay guys (and gals), time to get your reflective sunglasses. It's time for poker! This weekend can be fun for everyone, and there might even be an actual title on the line. We'll see. If you're interested, you can download it here. It's always some serious fun even if you don't know how to play. Heck, we'll teach you. Just come on in for the fun.
• Player of the Week: By a narrow margin, FunByDeath was the victor this week for this esteamed position! Hopefully even you, readers, can win once.
